About
Singapore Pet Events

This website provides a regularly updated list of pet events happening across Singapore. As a pet lover for over a decade, attending these events has always been something my pets and I look forward to. That’s why I created this informational platform—to bring fellow pet lovers together and provide a one-stop hub for all things pet-related.

care tips for your cutie pie

🐱 Cat – Whisker Fatigue is Real

Many cat owners don’t realise that some cats dislike deep food bowls. Their whiskers are highly sensitive, and constantly brushing against the sides of a bowl can cause stress — known as whisker fatigue. Use wide, shallow dishes to make mealtimes more comfortable.

🐶 Dog – Check Between the Toes

Especially for long-haired or active dogs, dirt, grass seeds, and even tiny ticks can get trapped between their toes or paw pads. Regularly inspect and gently clean between their toes to prevent irritation, infections, or limping.

🐢 Turtle – Varied Lighting is Crucial

Turtles need both UVA and UVB light, not just one. UVB helps with calcium absorption and shell health, while UVA supports mood, appetite, and breeding behaviours. Ensure both types are provided and replaced every 6–12 months, as their effectiveness fades even if the bulb still lights up.

🐰 Rabbit – Avoid Wire Bottom Cages

Wire-bottom cages can hurt a rabbit’s feet and cause a painful condition called sore hocks. Opt for solid flooring with soft, absorbent bedding like hay, paper-based litter, or fleece liners to keep them comfortable and healthy.

🐹 Hamster – Bigger Cages Mean Better Health

Despite their small size, hamsters thrive in large, enriched enclosures. Many store-bought cages are too small, leading to stress and repetitive behaviours. A general recommendation: at least 80x50cm of floor space, with tunnels, chew toys, and multiple levels for stimulation.
